Come join us for a Teen vs. Wild outing on the NE Mistassibi River, one of Quebec’s finest back-country whitewater canoeing adventures. You will travel 80 miles by canoe on this remote river. Teens will learn numerous wilderness travel and survival skills taught by experienced trip leaders, including how to handle a canoe in class II-III whitewater. Participants will learn to work as a team, problem solve, and take on leadership roles. Scriptures come alive as group discussions focus on personal and spiritual growth, linking trip experiences with the christian walk. The trip involves maneuvering numerous rapids, catching fish for a couple of the meals, and learning to start a warming and cooking fire with a spark. Difficulty: The Mistassibi is a class II-III river, with only one portage and a couple places to line. We will teach you the necessary skills to travel with confidence in a canoe.
